It's easy! Budget for the big attractions you want to see, then complete your visit with low-cost and NO-cost alternatives we show you on each tour. This was one of our founding ideas back in 2002!
Our tours are enjoyable experiences all by themselves,
they’re a fraction of the cost of bus tours, and they’ll guide a whole car full of people around town as often as you like. More important in this economy, each tour shows you free and inexpensive things to do, including lots of movie locations, hidden treasures, and local favorites that will give you a richer and more enjoyable visit. |

Remember, our audio tours are just part of what we do. Take time to browse our Links & Maps and Articles & Photos on the menu bar above to find an exceptional choice of free and inexpensive things for you to enjoy.
Food is a significant part of any trip or vacation, both for price and enjoyment. L.A. is home to great inexpensive food (The Original Pantry and Philippe's are among the best). You’ll find thousands of places with great burgers and other good food for less than $2.00, and we live right across the street from the Pacific Ocean, so don’t forget our great seafood!
What about those pricey coffee-latte-foam-buckets for $ 6.00? Yeah, we’ve got them, but you can still get a great cup of coffee at Philippe’s for 10 cents. Yes: coffee for a dime in L.A.! Even better, it’s in a 100 year-old restaurant where they invented the French dip sandwich!
And if you still can’t think of a great cheap idea, grab a towel and head for the beach. Any beach, we have lots. Driving tip: listen to the "Beach Boys" as you go, you’ll arrive with a smile on your face.

GPS units tell you where places are, but not why they’re significant or just plain cool. Bus tours are OK, but they won’t stop and let you get out whenever you want. Our CDs let YOU choose when and where to go, how fast or slow to go, when to stop, get out and explore. Even better, you’ll see things most visitors miss!
Plan Your Visit: Listen to the CDs before you arrive -- and browse our web site. Click on Links & Maps to get over 550 websites and maps with virtually everything you need to know about L.A. The Articles & Photos section has pictures and previews of what you’ll see, plus information you simply won’t find anywhere else.

What's
in it for you? We don't accept any advertising, nobody has
paid us to tell you anything. Everything described on our CDs and our web
site are favorites that have been recommended by visitors and us “locals”
who live here. These are personal opinions, but the history and trivia
about specific sites have been researched and verified using libraries,
historical societies, online sources, and even the History Channel. Movie
locations are chosen because they're easy to drive to, easy to recognize,
and easy to photograph. Locations are verified by being on-site while movies
are being shot, and by comparing individual frames from DVDs to each location.
You'll be able to verify that yourself after you've been to the locations.
Our audio tours are a great introductions to these famous and fascinating places.
Our commitment to you comes from years of experience helping people:
spend
less, drive less, and enjoy more!
